ACE4710 problem after changing config

Managed Service

Level 1

Hi,

On ace4710 I have many context and in each context there're a some class-map and I had removed two of them!

Now, customer could not reach this context BUT this context is up and running and could connect to the server...

====================

Actually we had done : ft switchover <group of context> force and check with show ft group brief and all is running again!

It is not normal that when I remove command I should do a switchover!

Has someone an Idea?

Hi there,

It is not expected to have a behavior like that, this should be totally transparent.

It is important to make sure to check the status of the ft groups to make sure they look good and make sure you have all ssl files, licenses on both devices. Another thing is that if one of the devices crashed and generated some crash files then FT may detect that as a "difference" and since it cannot synchronize those either then FT might be affected then at this point I would suggest you to check the following:

Get a #show run of each context of each ACE and then compare them

Do a #show crypto files on each context on both ACEs and compare them

Do a #dir core: on each ACE to make sure there are no core dumps which could be a FT conflict

After doing all that, you may upload your ft configuration to take a look:

#show run ft from the Admin context of each ACE

#show ft stats
