When adding SNAT config under SVI for ACE, does the interface need to be shutdown and then un-shut to ensure proper NAT functionality.
interface vlan 9999
shutdown
nat-pool 1 10.117.218.230 10.117.218.230 netmask 255.255.255.255 pat
no shutdown
I am currently reviewing some config and I am querying whether this is necessary.
thank you

No need to shut - this can be done on the fly. Check the ARP table afterwards for confirmation.

Thank you Achrich
Anyone other takers for this query?
Has anybody reading this experienced issues after applying SNAT [please ready from top]
btw i'm not saying I did - simply carrying out due dilligence.
kind regards
