ANM in High Availability installation

ANM 1.1 in HA mode during installation,

Do the Primary NICS need to be L2

adjacent or could be a router hop inbetween ?

Do the Heartbeat NICs need to be L2

adjacent or could be a router hop inbetween ?

In ANM in High availablity mode the primary NICs need not to be L2 adjacent but the Heartbeat NICs should be L2 adjacent. Following link may help you

Thank you for this reply. The link is already

known to me but it will not help further as

the HA description is very poor.

When using L3 hops between the primary NIC

i still have doubts about the functionality

of the virtual IP address.

Will try in a lab environment.
