Can a CSM serverfarm real address point to another vserver address ?

Hi,

Is there anybody that knows if we can configure a real server in a server farm to be a vserver address ?

What I am trying to do is the following policy ;

vserv A --> serverfarm A--> Servers A

--> Backup---> serverfarm B--> vserver B

Then vserv b policy is defined as follows ;

vserv B --> serverfarm C--> Servers C

--> Backup---> serverfarm D --> Servers D

Thanks

Michel

No you can't point a real to a vserver.

What you do for HTTP rule is a redirect server pointing to a vserver address.

In your example, serverfarm B would be a redirect service and the redirect address vserver_B.

Only works for HTTP since we need the HTTP 30x redirect feature to be able to achieve this.

Here is a link to configure http redirect on the CSM

Gilles.
