Cisco vWAAS + WAAS Express

Hello,

I have a little question about these two technologies inter operability.

I plan to deploy a cisco vWAAS in a cloud environnement, and i need to know if it's possible to connect the virtual appliance with a WAAS Express router like a 880 series compatible for deploying the WAN acceleration capability.

Because i have find some related documentations which speak about a possible inter connectivity between Cisco WAVE and WAAS Express, but not about the vWAAS appliance.

Others thing to deploy is the nexus 1000v and ASA 1000v

Any remarks will be appreciated

               is you vwaas in DC ? waas express doesnot care what form factor Waas is running in .

Cisco vWAAS can be deployed in two ways:

• Transparently at the WAN network edge using out-of-path interception technology such as Web Cache Control Protocol (WCCP), similar to deployment of a physical Cisco WAAS Appliance.

• Within the data center along with application servers, using a virtual network services framework based on Cisco Nexus 1000V Series Switches to offer cloud-optimized application service in response to instantiation of application server virtual machines.
