CM Software Upgrade

Happy New Year!

I currently have 36 devices managed by a CM and a standby CM all running 4.4.7 but want and need to update to 5.x, I'm hoping to go to 5.2.1 but haven't completely read the release notes yet.

My question was around the update process. I know that I have to do the CM first but wondered if I can "practise" the process on my standby CM first? If that goes ok I can then "fail over" and repeat on the primary. Is this an acceptable way of doing the upgrade?

Should've read the release notes first.

Upgrade the WAAS Central Manager devices first, and then upgrade the WAE devices. If you have a standby WAAS Central Manager, upgrade it first, before upgrading the primary WAAS Central Manager. After upgrading, restart any active browser connections to the WAAS Central Manager.
