CSM Fault Tolerance and IGMP Snooping

For "connection redundancy" the redundancy guide says to turn off IGMP snooping.

Is there any way around this?

I need to have multicasting everywhere and I don't want to multicast all streams to every port on this switch.

I see in the trace that the CSM mac is 00-01-64-F9-1A-64.

This would indicate that you have configured Fault Tolerance.

If so, did you verify that the CSM you're working on is the active one 'sho mod csm X ft'

You should maybe try without FT first if the previous suggestion does not work.

Regards,

Gilles.

Thanks, it is now working and you found the main problem. I had these in FT mode, but then removed all FT configs from this one and disconnected the FT VLAN link. I forgot to remove the client VLAN from the trunk, so the 2nd CSM went active for the VIP and was causing problems.

I fixed this, but still had problems. I tried my laptop instead of a 3750 switch as the server and everything is working. I have it working in FT mode on v4.2.1.
