CSM in bridged mode with MSFC

Hi we got a MSFC and a CSM module on Cisco 6513 switch. Csm is in bridged mode. The problem is we can reach the servers behind CSM with no problem. But we can not ping any of the VLAN interfaces on the MSFC from the servers . What might be the problem ?

This looks like configuration issue. Try reconfiguring the VLAN parameters on the MSFC. This should work.

1. The network drawing shows an interface vlan143 with ip address 10.6.43.1, this vlan is not in the configuration you provided.

2. You mention you can reach the servers behind the CSM. I assume you tested this from the 6500 and not from a device in vlan 40.

You can delete the interface vlan 43 in your configuration, you don’t need a layer-3 interface. The CSM takes care of this. You do need a vlan 143 with an IP-address, this is missing in your configuration.
