CSM-S, sync issue.

Hello.

We are using two CSM with SSL card and software version 2.1(10) on same chassis running 12.2(18)SXF17.

When we try to sync between active and standby, using hw-module csm config-sync, standby configuration is removed.

We need to copy configuration manually.

Also, we are looking for a best practice to break failover and use cards separately.

Regards.

Andrea

Hi Andrea,

At first sight, it could be due to CSCtd09117. You could try upgrading to 12.2(18)SXF17b to see if it makes a difference.

If it still fails, I would recommend you to open a TAC service request to have it investigated further.

Regarding the best practices to break failover, it's important to ensure that, as long as the two blades share the same configuration, redundancy continues to work. If you don't you will get into an active/active situation that will bring your setup down.

With this in mind, I would suggest the following steps:

- Remove all the configuration from the standby CSM

- Remove the redundancy configuration from the primary

- Reconfigure the secondary CSM with whatever new configuration you want it to have.

Regards

Daniel

Hello Daniel and many thanks for your help and suggestions.

About bug, when syncronizing CSM, we do not receive any error message.

Anyway we are going to upgrade.

Regards.
