I've got the XML POST working to send configuration commands to the CSM. So that an "end user" can put their servers in and out of service on their own.
But I'm looking to see if there is a way to post a:
"show mod csm # serverfarm <name> detail" command and get text output back.
I've tried monkeying with the XML files and putting show commands in, but no love.
Anyone know if this is doable?
Thakns!

This is possible with 4.2.1 only

Thanks for the info!
That feature, as well as the ability to actually syncronize the CSMs with one command sound like a worthy reason to upgrade from 4.1(3). :-)

Just be aware that the new features require IOS 12.2(18)SXD3 to work.
This is the only ios version that will allow the new features.

What's your take on the SX train's stability?
I've been running 12.1(20)E3 for sometime now and have been happy with it. I'm running FWSMs, CSMs, and SSL-Proxies and it has treated me right so far.
I am always nervous to jump onto another IOS release and discover new bugs.

12.1E is GD and because of that the new features like the ones you want for the CSM can't be integrated into this train.
12.2SX is not GD, new features are added when necessary.
I personally do not have enough information about this train to say if this is stable or not.
Sorry.

Hi,
Do you have any examples available for changing the state of a real within a serverfarm. I have tried it with the default example's from Cisco but couldn't get things in/out of service.
Hope you can help me with this?
