Is it possible to enable Reporter service on a CSS 11000. I am running version 6.10 build 107...is it possible to move to a 7.x ??? I didnt see any 7.x versions for the 11000s...its available for the 11500's though.
Is there any other way to identify link failures other than using critical-phy method using Reporters ?
I know I could use the critical-service command, but I have a situation where I cannot ping or check the status of an IP address on that VLAN (circuit) to detect failure.
Also is ASR supported ?? I think I will need atleast 7.x to run ASR but cant find an image for the 11000s in the 7.x range.

css11000 is the old generation and it uses version 5.00 and 6.10.
css11500 is the new generation and it uses version 5.10,5.20,5.30 and 7.xx
You can't run an image from a css11000 on a css11500 and vice versa.
So, there is no reporter function for the css11000.
What you can do is a critical-server with an ap-kal-pinglist script and you ping your own interface. [the css pings itself as a kal].
If the interface is down, the ping will fail.
