Just to be clear, you'll have your servers, CSS interface and the VIP within the same network range (192.168.123.X.), right?
If that's the case this is known as one-armed mode topology the only thing that you need to keep in mind when going with this
scenario is that you need to configure source NAT on the CSS to avoid asymmetric routing issues (servers bypassing the CSS).
The other possible scenario is a routed mode where your servers and the clients/VIPs are on totally different network segments
the only difference here is that you don't need source NAT on this mode because the servers should not have any other way to go out other
than going physically (electrically) through the CSS.
When it comes to performance both scenarios should give you the same results.
