Hi,
I'm interested in what type of performance measurement MIB others are polling to determine the performance of their CSS? We have a basic CSS setup, sitting in front of multiple Web servers.
Thanks

The MIBs for monitoring the performance of the CSS are available in the CSS itself.
For installed memory :
ASN Name: apChassisMgrExtSubModuleInstalledMemory
Object Identifier: 1.3.6.1.4.1.2467.1.34.17.1.12
FOR CPU :
ASN Name: apChassisMgrExtSubModuleCPUInstantaneous
Object Identifier: 1.3.6.1.4.1.2467.1.34.17.1.13
FOR Free Memory:
ASN Name: apChassisMgrExtSubModuleSystemHeapFree
Object Identifier: 1.3.6.1.4.1.2467.1.34.17.1.10
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply. I had found these mibs as well, from rmon-alarm, but I can't pull them from the CSS using an SNMPget. Is there any trick to this? I can't see those particular mibs either when I SNMPwalk the CSS.

what version are you using ?
The CSS OID changed with version 7.40 and therefore the OID given to you might not be the correct one for your version.
Best thing to do is ftp to the CSS and go into the mib directory.
From there you can download all the mibs and find which OID is required.
Then, the only thing you need in the config is a snmp community and you can then snmpwalk any OID.

Gilles.
