Thanks

Cash means money ... if we could redirect money that would be great :-)
If you are talking about transparently redirecting http traffic to cache devices, this is possibe'.
If you are talking about transparently caching http content on the ACE itself (no redirect) this is also possible but only the appliance C4710.
Which solution are you looking for ?

:) How much cash do you need me to redirect to you ?
Thank you Gilles for your response
Actually, I meant the first one (transparently redirecting http traffic to cache devices).
But is is amazing for me to know that ACE can work as Cash server as well.
I will be highly appreciated to provide me with links to guide me how to configure those two features.
Thanks in Advance...

Amr,
I don't think we have sample config for those features.
However, redirecting to cache devices is like a normal loadbalancing configuration with some modification.
1/ your class-map will look like
class-mal HTTP
match virtual 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 tcp eq 80
2/ your serverfarm will be :
serverfarm CACHES
transparent
predictor hash url
rserver CACHE1
inservice
rserver CACHE2
inservice
...
3/ you then link everything with policy-map that you apply on your client interfaces (not the cache interface as you have to allow the caches to fetch the content from the end server).
Regarding appliance caching feature, check the acceleration and optimization guide.

Hi Gilles:
thank you for your response,
Excuse me because I am not familiar with ACE CLI, Can you please provide me with the full configuration required for CASH Redirection in two cases:
1-Transparent redirection, when the CASH servers are in the same Subnet with one of the ACE interfaces.
2-non-Transparent, when CASH servers are in different Subnet than the ACE interfaces.
I have done both cases with NORTEL Application Switch, but I am not familiar with ACE yet, and waiting for your help :)
King Regards,
Amr Ahmed

Hi Gilles,
How the VIP can be defined as 0.0.0.0, what does this mean ? Does it mean that any traffic passes through the ACE to be redirected?, if this is the case, it isn't acceptable because ACE has a lot of other VIP addresses configured, it also passes normal traffic. There is other traffic we don't need it to be affected with the Redirection Policy. I have tried to create ACL and bind it with the class-map to specify specific source address but ACE refused, it tolled me that you can have one match statement only (which is the VIP). Really I don't know how to deal with that BOX :((
