Hi Andrew,
You need to install the default license first and then you can upgrade to the 4gb license
09-06-2012 01:02 PM
Hello Andrew,
What is the part number of the license you are trying to install?
The problem is that you probably need a step in between the license you have and the one you are trying to install

Hi Cesar,
The part number is ACE-4710-K9. Please advise me what kind of step do I need to follow before installing this license.
Thanks.

Hi Andrew,
Please have a look at below , especially release notes section:
You will have to reboot the device and ensure that you don't use the same file you used last time when you faced the issue.
Get a license file issued again from cisco and try again.

Kanwal

Hi Kanwal,
I'd tried the step you given but it still doesn't work. I had tried to get a license from Cisco again. But Cisco said the key I had provided had been issued a license file and not possible to get new licnese file. Any idea?
Thanks,
Andrew

Hi Andrew,
I'm having a similair problem, however to me it's not clear what the "base" license is. Can you let me know how you got that one?
Thanks!
09-24-2012 10:08 AM
Hi Leon,
If you type a command "sh license status", you would probably see "NO" license status for ACE-AP-01-LIC which mean you didn't install basic license yet.
If you lost your basic license package, you can always open a TAC case and request from them. You just need to provide the serial number of the appliance. Please check with your sale team to get a basic package if not.
Hope this help!
Sincerely,
Andrew
