We have a Cisco PIX 515 as an Internet Firewall and a CE565. We have one site that doesn't have visibility of the Internet due to the WAN architecture.
So for FTP requests it has to do FTP proxying to the main site then launch an onward session from there.
With the two devices mentioned how can I configure either the PIX or the CE565 to proxy FTP on port 21???
I can proxy FTP on port 80 but the CE565 doesn't allow port 21. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks,
Wayne

Wayne,
If you are using ACNS 5.1.x, you can transparently send FTP requests to the CE. Prior to this, the CE could only handled FTP proxy requests. This means you can use WCCP (via an FTP service) to redirect FTP to the CE on port 21. Then the CE can request the content from the destination server.

Thanks Michael,
I'll have a look at this now.
