When expanding into a new datacenter, we purchased a second GSSM so that 1) it could act as a standby to the already existing primary GSSM and, 2) we were told that the GSS could act as a CRA responder, eliminating the need to purcahse an additional CSS.
I am unable to find documentation to support this, and the GSS documentation lacks any reference to CRA responding or dns-boomerang. In most datacenters, we have a CSS providing CRA response to dns-boomerang, in order to effectively balance traffic globally. Now we have an additional DC with only a GSS acting as a standby, but unable to participate in the global balancing of traffic.
thanks in advance -- Gregori
