How to make a redundant connection to a Cisco CSS11501?

hello all,

I need your help because I require to connect a "css11501" two core switches to provide redundancy to the load balancing service and would like to verify this possible (Does the spanning-tree protocol officer for load balancing?)

Hi Noel,

If your question is whether the CSS supports spanning-tree, then the answer is yes. With that in mind, the topology you are proposing is perfectly valid.

Be aware that although STP is supported, its implementation has some small differences compared to the one of the 6500, so before starting with the configuration I would recommend you to go through the link below
