I'm configuring our content engine for web caching.

What does "vary user agent" do, and how do I set it up?

I read the config guide but it doesn't explain much.

thanks.

Cache vary user-agent config is to enable the CE to cache the content that varies

based on the User-agent alone. ( introduced in 5.1 ) . Before that the CE wont cache

any content that has the vary header in the response. The risk involved , addtional

check will be done in the cache for all the request . Benefit - able to cache the

content that vary with user-agent.

For more details on Vary header, read HTTP related RFCs.
