inline network card issue

hi all

Please help with the issue below

I have connected the branch WAE inline to a Nortel Router(Cross cable) and Nortel 8600 Switch(Straight cable) inlineGroup 1/0. I get the following below with the Lan interface on the group administratively shut. I have tried different combinations of cables as well.

Interface is in bypass operating mode.

Standard NIC mode is on.

Disable bypass mode is on.

Is the router and the switch in automode?

device was faulty and had to be replaced
