The cisco documentation is'nt very clear about
dispatch redirection, I've got it working
but on the real server whenever I reboot the server it complains that the ip is in use and shuts off
the aliased ip address. How is the network suppost
to look with dispatch redirection?

If it is NT servers - there is a bug in NT that
messes up the routing table. We also had this
problem, and out NT folks created a service
that adjusts the routing table at each boot to
make the loopback adapter work correctly in NT.

So you put the aliased ips on the loopback device
and remove the route that meeses up the routing?
