hello,

Could you tell me the meaning of the following parameter, the command" max connection" use to limit which parameter?

sh service dns

Mtu: 1500

State Transitions: 82

Total Local Connections: 63232

Total Backup Connections: 0

Current Local Connections: 1

Current Backup Connections: 0

Total Connections: 63232

Max Connections: 65534

Total Reused Conns: 0

Weight: 1 Load: 4

DFP: Disable

It is the maximum number of active connections that a service can have. 65534 is the highest (and default) paramter for max connections. It is configurable in the "service" section of the configuration.

By the way, if your connections is coming up as 63232, are you using "flow permanent port" for dns port numbers ?
