Hi all,
I have a question, but don't know the answer.
I have read the SCA URL rewrite option, but not sure what that use for? In order to use that url rewrite option, do I need CSS/CSM to make it work? Thanks

Bill,
sometimes a server is configured to send a redirect to the client when a page was moved.
Since the server is actually working in HTTP - cleartext - mode, the redirect is a redirect to an HTTP page.
So the urlrewrite command can interecpt the 302 redirect resposne and rewrite the url from http to https.
The SCA can even intercept any url contained in any webpage to rewrite it but really not recommended because the performance impact is too big.
Regards,
Gilles.

Thanks Gills,
I have tested it, but the result turn out unsuccessful, It's because in the content tag/ or context tag is still carrying "http", and that tag cannot be re-written with SCA urlrewrite option. We have tested before and open a case with cisco. The Cisco Engineer told us that it would work but it was NOT. Then, another Cisco engineer told us, it should work, but before I give it another try, I should ask everyone in here a second opinion.
Gills, what is a second solution would fix this problem? Any idea? Thanks for your respones.

the solution is to fix the webserver to remove all reference to HTTP.
If you want confirmation that urlrewrite can do the job, could you send me a sniffer trace showing the page to rewrite.
What's your case id ?
Thanks,
Gilles.
