I am trying to assign 3 probes to a serverfarm ,is there any way the ACE checks  all the 3 probes for each  rservers configured ,

even if one probe fails ,can ACE mark the rserver down

serverfarm QI

predictor leastconnection

probe PROBE_HTTP

probe PROBE_HTTPS

probe PROBE_7000

rserver server1

inservice

rserver server2

inservice

Please let me know ,as even if one probe fails ,can ACE mark the rserver down,or for ACE to mark the server down ,do we need all the 3 probes to fail

I know if we configure multiple probe and  say failover on all ,if all the probes fail, the ACE mark the server down,

Hi,

From the ACE Server Load Balancing Guide:

"By default, the real servers that you configure in a server farm inherit the probes that you configure directly on that server farm. Multiple probes that you configure on a server farm have an OR logic associated with them. If one of the probes configured on the server farm fails, all real servers configured in the server farm fail and enter the PROBE-FAILED state. You can also configure AND logic for server farm probes."

"To configure the real servers in a server farm to use AND logic with respect to multiple server farm probes, use the fail-on-all command in server farm host configuration mode. With AND logic, if one server farm probe fails, the real servers in the server farm remain in the OPERATIONAL state. If all the probes associated with the server farm fail, then all the real servers in that server farm fail and enter the PROBE-FAILED state. This command applies to all probe types. You can also configure AND logic for probes that you configure directly on real servers in a server farm."
