n1k installation failed

Hi,

i try to install n1k VSM on Cisco UCS server(4Gb memory free).

Due installation i got messgae-

An error was received from the ESX host while powering on VM Nexus1000V-VSM-PDC.

Failed to power on VM.

Could not power on VM : Admission check failed for memory resource See the VMware ESX Resource Management Guide for information on resource management settings.

Group vm.1014695: Invalid memory allocation parameters for VM vmm0:Nexus1000V-VSM-PDC. (min: 524288, max: -1, minLimit: -1, shares: -3, units: pages)

Group vm.1014695: Cannot admit VM: Memory admission check failed. Requested reservation: 534234 pages

How to resolve it?

Hi Mike,

Most likely resource allocation on the host causing the issue. Try adding RAM to the host and see if it fixes the issue.

Or you can try to deploy it on another host which has enough recourses, and see if you can even power it on there
