N2K Ports Issue

Hi All,

Some of the switchport are showing amber light even when no cables are connected in N2k Extender.

Shut and no shut but still no difference. Can anyone please advise?

Looks like th eFex is faulty.

Many thanks for the reply. Need your advise on this from the DOC, if the port is faulty, it should be blinking amber. But the light is not blinking in our case.

Hi Rakesh,

Let me understand the model of N2K first.

Have you inserted any SFP/GLCT in port of N2K if it is Nexus 2232??

As per my knowledge, LED will be amber unless and until no SFP/GLCT inserted in it.

When SFP/GLCT is inserted, amber light will turn off.

When cable connectivity is provided to N2K along with SFP/GLCT and other end also connected properly to device/server, then LED will become green.
