Hi,

How can a CSS offload the SSL traffic for backend server farms? Can it encrypted or de-encrypted SSL packets by itself or not?For Example, there's a client make http connections to backend servers, and all of the connections go through a CSS device, and the http connections have the possibilities to be translated https connections??And vice versa. If CSS can do this, please tell me how,thanks........

Any answers will be very appreciate!!

The CSS11500 has an optional SSL module.

This will let the CSS decrypt/encrypt traffic on behalf of the servers.

If you don't have the CSS11500 or don't have the SSL module, you can

use an SCA (Secure Content Accelerator).

The CSS will redirect the traffic to the SCA which will decrypt it and send it back to the CSS.

Gilles.
