Out of Sockets error message on ACE Module

We have had the error message appear on the ACE Module log and been trying to find more information about it.

Hi,

This log msg was generated in order to help troubleshoot issues with TCL (scripted probes) or SSL probes which fail in a small period of time with internal error as reason.

This error could be cosmetic, but could be also that you have some internal error with some probe on user contexts.

It would be good to completely rule out any probe/health monitoring issue and if the health probes are failing as expected (check show probe details on all contexts), you can disable the logging message to avoid the false positive.

That syslog message "%ACE-3-251027: Out of sockets" is a debug enhancement available in A2(3.6). The relevant bug ID CSCtn90093 - which is just debugging enhancement.

This error looks cosmetic.

This is not a cosmetic issue.

If you are running out of sockets, you can create new management connection.

No probes.  No pings. ....

You should see how frequently you get this message.  Try to identify the management traffic that fails when this happen.
