host/Admin1(config-probe-tcp)# ip address ip_address routed
"(Optional) Routes the address according to the ACE internal routing
table. Hardware-initiated SSL probes do not support this option."
When do we need this 'routed' keyword? Every time the rserver is not in a connected subnet?

I don't know when to use it actually....
But for sure you don't need when your rserver are remote.
If you do not configure an ip address under the probe definition, probes are sent to the real ip address and ACE will check its routing table to check how to reach the real.
Basically, you would use that routed option if you want the probe to be sent to a different ip address than the real address and if you want to override the default routing decision which is to send the probe using the same path as to reach the real.

A3(2.7). Not applicable for A4(1.0). | Support added to configure a probe under a redirect server or server farm. |
