Read/write operations to the same content

I know this is not exactly related to the CSS boxes and this might be a dumb, newbie question, but how would people go ahead in this scenario:

Two or more servers behind a CSS box-to-box cluster, all servers use the same NFS NAS box for storage, and the CSS allows RR sessions to them.

Say we have an FTP service going, or anything which allows file writing/editing/deletion; what happens if two file write sessions go to two different servers, and they both try to write at the same file at the same time?

Edit: The NAS unit (Snapserver 4400) do not as far as I can see support file locking for NFS.

In your case even if the FTP service is running and if two file write sessions go to two different servers, only one server will do the write operation. The servers will be synchronised to each other and hence there will not be any problem as far as the write/editing/deleting operations are concerned.
