Hi All,
I need to replace a Cisco ACE module next week. I have a query about the replacement process.
After I remove the running Active ACE module, the fail-over should happen and the standby ACE will transition of active state.
When I configure the FT group in the new ACE module and bring up the FT between the new and the active ACE, then the configuration will replicate to the new module from the running active module.
My query is whether that replication process will create the other non-admin contexts and then will replicate the configs of non-admin contexts too?
I know the replication process will not sync the SSL files. So even if the non-admin contexts get created automatically during replication, I need to manually copy the SSL certs to new ACE. Is that right?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi CF:)
Yes, the replication process will create the non-admin contexts too and replicate the configuration.
All you need to configure is FT between two pairs and ensure that connectivity is there and each one can see each other. Once FT is configured and both peers can communicate, ACTIVE will sync the configuration to standby.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Hope this helps.

Kanwal
