Require Time for DNS propogation

Dear Experts,

I have a doubt.

We have Primary DC and Scaled down DR working in active-standby mode. Customer doesn't own the DNS infrastructure and they are not willing to own it in near future either. In case of DC outage, they will failover to DR manually.

If I add GSS into the network how much value addition GSS will do here. How much time ISP will take for propogation of DNS entry for DR servers? I assume that currently ISP DNS servers have entries for DC and DR. Does it still take about 24 hours for propogation?

What additional benefits GSS can introduce in this network (Customer doesn't want to own DNS infra though)

Hi Nayan,

The document below should give you more insight about deploying GSS.

The  TTL (time to live) values configured on the GSS determines for how long  the A records are cached. For site-to-site recovery, setting the TTL to  a low value will ensure that a new request is made after the TTL  expiration.
