Hello,
I am using advanced ArrowPoint cookie in order to loadbalance to multiple server instances.
In case a server fails I would like not to loadbalance to another server and put the correspondant cookie but I would like the CSS to do a redirect.
I used the sticky-serverdown-failover redirect command and the redirect command within the content.
My problem is that the CSS does the redirect only if all servers are down otherwise it loadbalances to another server.
Do you have an idea of how I could manage the redirect if the sticky server is down ?

HI,
If you are using the arrowpoint-cookie option of the advanced-balance command, do not configure string match criteria, the sticky-no-cookie-found-action command, or the sticky-serverdown-failover command.
This will not work with arrowpoint cookie.
Here is the Doc on this.

Hi Tanveer,
We are using an older software version of the CSS and in the documentation it is written that it is possible to use it !!
http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/webscale/css/css_520/cmdrefgd/cmdowcnt.htm#20406
Is there a way to do it though or will the CSS always use the next available service ?

Hi Julien,
I think you are using 5.20 ,this is not possible in any of the vesion [as of now] using the arrowpoint cookie. It will always load balance to next availible server.
Here is the link for 5.20 as well.
