syslog and snmp posibilities with multiple contexts

Hi,

Is it possible to have different contexts log through the Admin context and use the syslog servers defined here?

Furthermore, is it possible to poll a context via SNMP on the VIP or can a context only be monitored on the local vlan interface.

We have a challenge with our customer contexts we are hosting where the context is situated behind a customer firewall also hosted by us.

this is the scenario:

syslog server <> firewall <> mpls <> firewall <> loadbalancer glue net <> loadbalancer <> DMZ

This would mean two static NATs for each context which I would really like to avoid.

Best regards,

Henrik

You can't get the syslog from other contexts into the admin context.

And you can only send SNMP queries to an interface/vlan address - not a vip.

Usually, all contexts share the same management vlan.  Like non-virtualised devices, you would connect all of them to the management vlan.

Same here.

Gilles.
