Two Service-policy on same interface same direction.

Hey Guys,

I need confirmation before making some changes on ACE. I am going apply two service-policy on same interface in same direction.

Actually the traffic comes over the interface is being used for management as well. So say i want to apply following-

service-policy input VIP-POLICY

service-policy input MANAGEMENT < VTY traffic

Is there any kind of policy lookup order which one should be frist ? making management policy will it going to work if configured on 2nd ?

Hi Ajay,

On the ACE, service policies are processed in the same order they are configured, so, in your scenario, the management policy will be processed after the load-balancing one.

This should not cause any issues, because management traffic will never be matched by the load-balancing policy and vice-versa
