We have a appnav cluster with 2 x WAE devices configured for inline interception and a single ASR1002 router connecting remote sites. We need the port configuration fo rthe connection betwee the Appnav cluster and the ASR router. We have tried using a port-channel but the channel does not come up on the router side.

Any advice or ideas?

Could you please share a brief topology drawing of the desired setup ?

WAAS does not support LACP nor PAGP, so you'll have to configure "...mode on" on the network device.

But do you want to have a multichassis-Etherchannel from the two WAE devices to a single router ?

Don't think you can do that.
