I have a WAE-512-K9 configured as a WAAS Central Manager.
When I turnet it on I get the meessage
"CSCO
chs
dbgrub_start.S
Uncompressing Linux... OK, booting the Kernel"
and hangs on this screen.
I've tried to boot the appliance from a Rescue CD downloaded from the Cisco Site, but once it reads the CD and shows the screen of the Rescue CD, the screen freezes with the message
"Uncompressing Linux... OK, booting the Kernel"
Does anyone can help me and let me know what can be wrong and what I have to do to solve the problem?
Thanks in advance for your help
Javier

Hi Javier,
The VGA monitoring will terminate at the point you mentioned. from that point onwards, you want to look at console connection. In other words, the VGA display will be disabled at the point you mentioned above. you should check console for further bootup process.
Are you looking at console connection? if this is happening on console, it may be hardware failure.
Regards.

Hello Byadav:
Thank you very much for the mail.
In fact you are right, we have been staying in front the monitor, waiting for some change on the status of the screen.
We are now proceeding to use the rescue CD, and going through the process to get the Central Manager operative.
However, do you have any link related to troubleshooting WAAS?
Thank you again, and have a nice day.

Hi,
There's a very useful and well organized guide on Cisco doc wiki:
http://docwiki.cisco.com/wiki/Cisco_WAAS_Troubleshooting_Guide_for_Release_4.1.3_and_Later
Hope this helps,
Patrick
