Hi,

I've a server configured for http and ftp services in DC. HTTP service is working correctly but ftp not. On wae there is a session for ftp traffic but for customer there is no any result. In branch there is PBR and in DC - wccp. I noticed by server side "tcp checksum error", but I cannot find out why only for ftp? I've branches for which there is no problem at all. Configuration is the same for all branches (PBR). Other issue is that in the same connection (branch-DC) there is lotus optymalization and http on others servers working well in production.

I've 4.1.1c.16 version.

any idea?

Thanks

ACE can perform deep packet inspection on HTTP, FTP, DNS, ICMP, and RTSP traffic. Inspections include port 80 misuse, RFC compliance, content/header/URL checksum, FTP reply spoofing, and many others. ACE can also analyze traffic for malformed packets and take corrective action. In a ACE load balanced WAAS context, ACE is in the optimization path, so these deep packet inspections cannot be performed. ACE contexts outside the optimization path can be configured with the deep packet inspection.

There is no ACE in the path :)

So, the problem still exist and as I checked by testing - this is not tcp checksum problem. :)

- from few sites everthing is working ok but from few sites (the same architecure) there is only http working but not ftp (on the same server).

I've no idea what's is wrong :( on wae there is session from client to the server but connection on client is hang.

So, any idea? :-)

I had issues with FTP and WAAS where the client WAE wout send A FIN packet Before the Core WAE was finished tranfering the Data. This resulted in corrupted files or in your case checksum error.

see CSCsx82342

We upgraded to 4.1.3(55) thi sresolved the issue.

Thanks for reply,

checksum incorrect is no problem, I've resoleved my case by configuring new classifier only for ftp traffic. This helped (earlier configuration was working for half of braches - new is working for all and this was my goal)

Thanks,
