Hello Everyone,
I have a question about Cisco WAAS (Wide Area Application Services).
We want to use the new WAVE-294, WAVE-594 and WAVE-694 in Inline mode (no wccp) We have several WAVE with WAVE-INLN-GE-4T included (by Cisco) in order to use the InlineGroup.
We have a problem with WAVE with no Inline card included. When we insert the card after the first boot, we have 4 GigabitEthernet port UP but no InlineGroup 1/0 and InlineGroup 1/1.
This is a correct configuration :
This is an incorrect configuration :
WAVE doesn't want to "create" the inlineGroup even if we reboot the device or write erase the configuration without the setup configuration.
The only way to configure the Inline Group is to
1 - remove the InlineCard
2 - write erase the startup-configuration
3 - boot the device
4 - use the Setup Wizard
5 - configure the rest of the configuration after the boot
Is it possible to avoid the long process ? I don't find a command to create these inlineGroup.
Thank you for your sollicitation
Regards

Hi Adrien,
As per the installation guide : http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/app_ntwk_services/waas/wave/installation/594-694/guide/WAVE-594_HIG/594op2.html#91439
interface modules are not hot-swappable !

Hello,
We tried again in this order :
1 - write erase without the card included
2 - shutdown the device
3 - insert the Inline-Card
4 - Boot the device
5 - Enter the commande "interception-method inline"
And that's all. i think we have the problem when we hot-insert the card.
It's ok for us !

I'm unable to resolv this issue with those option. I just type: "inline enable" command and works! =)
