WAE/WCM Clustering - How to Setup?

Hi

We have 2 x Cisco WAE 674 & 2 x WAE 512.

I would like to configure the WAE 674's as Accelerators and the 512's as CM's but in a cluster configuration./

How would I go about doing this or what is the best way to achieve this while also ensuring resiliency?

Thanks

Z

Hi Zubair

it sound to me like two WAE 674's will be placed in two different locations. If so redundancy is only for CMs, please refer the below URL

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/app_ntwk_services/waas/waas/v421/configuration/guide/maint.html#wp1159476

Thanks

Hi tkumarag,

The wae's and CM's will be in one location, this is at our main hosting centre.

We have other WAE's placed around different countries. See diagram below:

What would the best way to connect these to ensure redundancy or clustering etc

Anybody? Where are all the WAAS experts....

As was previously suggested you would configure the WAE-512's as CMs in the active/standby as per this link

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/app_ntwk_services/waas/waas/v421/configuration/guide/maint.html#wp1159476

For your accelerators if you use WCCP and point both WAE-674s to the same routers for their WCCP router list they will be in a WCCP cluster and will share the load as per the hash/mask assignment.
