WAN Bandwidth supported for WAAS boxes

Per my understanding, the sizing of WAAS boxes at branch offices depends on the amount of optimized TCP flows and the amount of WAAS Cache apart from WAN bandwidth. Can anybody throw some light into the calculation for the WAN bandwidth limit each of the WAAS boxes ( WAE-512, 612,674,7342,7371) can support?

Peter,

Each platform has a rule of thumb that you start with for sizing...

512-2GB: 20 Mbps

612-4GB: 90 Mbps

674-4GB: 90 Mbps

7341: 310 Mbps

7371: 1000 Mpbs

The WAN bw is not limited by software or system limit, but it's provided for sizing exercises. I usually start with connection limits and disk requirements and then ensure that the bw is not exceeded if other variables seem to fit.

Hope that helps,

Dan

Thanks Dan.
