Installing macro via HTTP API fails on DX/Desk devices

When installing the JoinZoom_Main_4-1-1.js macro file found on roomos.cisco.com via CEDeploy or via the HTTP API, the result is often an error indicating there was 'no response from the macro runtime'. In some cases, despite the error, the macro was actually installed.

This happens on this device type as well as other Desk and DX series devices fairly consistently but does not happen on Room Kit series devices. The same macro file can be installed on all devices just fine via the web GUI.

Is this some known limitation of the hardware? Is there a solution or workaround?

Hi @lortiz1,

If it's a known bug, a workaround may be listed as well. Please see the Cisco Bug Search Tool:

Thanks. Cisco did point me to https://bst.cloudapps.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCvy73717. Seems to be a known but undocumented issue due to certain endpoints being unable to buffer the entire XML stream. It also doesn't appear to be something Cisco is planning to address.
