Hi,

For this bug, does it only have fix on 2.1 (0.904) and 2.2 (0.901)?

I didn't found any same version on cisco download website, only available for version 2.1(0.474) and 2.2(0.470).

I believe other than the 2 version listed in "Known Fix Release", other version which is not 2.1 it could be fix the issue.

My customer was hit badly with High IO and High CPU on oracle process on MNT node (CSCvc75209) this week - TAC P1.  Running 2.2.0.470 patch 1.  The deployment is a two node Cisco hardware appliance, with PAN/MNT/PSN on each node.
Restarting the application didn't fix it - the Primary server had to be rebooted.  TAC also applied a special patch.  It's not generally available - I guess it's a point patch that addresses this bug ID only.
TAC engineer also mentioned that this point patch may need to be specifically removed before applying the next official Cisco 2.2 patch 2

Hi Arne,

Means your current customer ISE node applied with engineering patch provided from Cisco TAC but not publish in download site?

The issue comes so random, sometimes both MNT doesn't have the issue.

Did you TAC mention what is the oracle services details running in background? As from the bug it doesn't mention the oracle service in details, but we found out there was multiple same services running in ISE MNT node.

Hi

The tac installed a hotfix patch that I believe rebuilds some Oracle indexes.  Not much detail on that I am afraid.  We spotted that the Oracle process was pegged at 100% using the ISE CLI command   tech top (very useful command).   And then the TAC suspected the issue.

I don't even want to speculate on what the issue is - each customer case may be different - best thing is to get TAC involved to analyse.

Hi,

Ya, I believe the current case I have is the same with your case. Because this comes when ISE 2.1 apply to ISE node system.

My customer would like to know the details of Oracle process running to ensure there was a bug.

By the way, thanks for your info. We will look forward to upgrade 2.2 patch 2 once it released.
