The bug page claims there was an option added to the listed firmware. This leads the reader to believe there is a way to disable the memory check on boot. I opened 685777542 and was told there is no way to turn off the memory check.
Can someone from Cisco please chime in on the discrepancy? If the bug page needs updating or removal please look into doing that.
