CSCvc48180 - Application categories and tags are missing in Version 6.1 or 6.2.1 - 2

I believe I just found the problem and solution.

When my customer FMC updated automatically Sunday morning automatically to VDB version 300, this problem started on their 6.2.3 version FMC ACP, and the rules started showing an error since the Apps all disappeared. I am pretty sure that the problem is with the new VDB 300 release

Updated all the way from 6.0.1.3 to 6.2.3.3 and everything was fine until I updated VDB from 297 to 300 and this happened. The forced reinstall did the trick however.

cd /var/sf/updats
sudo sh Sourcefire_VDB_Fingerprint_Database-4.5.0-300.sh -- --force

Agreed this did resolve the issue for us as well.
