Hi - we have had several C220 servers running VMware esx5.5 lock up just after logging thermal errors.
We powercycle the server via CIMC and restart the VMs
We have replaced motherboards and CPUs in 5+ cases and yet the issue returns - the latest on a C220 with hardware replaced just 6 months ago due to the same issue.
Have others seen this issue?
thanks,
Fletcher

Had this issue on a C240 M4S running 3.0(1c) code
Managed to resolve by powering the system down via CIMC and leaving for a period before powering on. A cold reset didn't help as believe the fans are still going wild. I imagine the easiest fix would be to jump to code 3.0(3c) or 3.1(3d) if that's an option as per https://bst.cloudapps.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCve10234.
Cheers
Phil
