Hello team,

My name is Gary Moya and I'm an engineer from Costa Rica.

I had this problem on a router Cisco ASR920 series, model 12cz-A, the problem that I found was that a partner from the company was trying to update the router from the version 3.16 to the version 17.03.03, but did not perform the rommon update (mandatory step to complete the process of the 17.03.03 version update), so the problem of the router was the mismatch of the rommon version and the version of the router.

Everytime that the router was UP after a reload, I tried to make a step of the update procedure, copying the files to the bootflash (rommon and .bin files) applying wr to avoid the lost of the steps before the reload. Then I made the upgrade of the rommon and wr, and then apply the boot system to the correct version that I wanted.

After I made all those steps of update the device, the error stop and the router is working without any problem.

I hope that this reply is helpfull in any moment to any of you.

Regards,
