Just got word from TAC that the only workaround is to use the Custom Service Wizard. There are no ES's or service packs available. The fix will come out with the new release (which has not been announced yet).
We provision hundreds of users at any given time, so obviously this workaround is way too time consuming. Our workaround is to continue provisioning ALL required devices (including jabber) for all the required users. Once all the devices are built, use the bulk update tool to query that specific device pool and device name (device name begins with csf).
Once you’ve filtered out the desired jabber devices click on Next and update the missing fields. Be sure the check box is selected next to field you are trying to bulk update (ex. CSS, MRGL, ect). If you forget to check that box, then your changes will not be updated. Only those settings that are checked will be processed
