@TAC is this going to an issue that gets addressed?
Is there an active defect report (or CSC case) for this issue?
Can Cisco confirm if a fix is planned for an upcoming maintenance release?
If so, what is the expected timeline?
It is concerning that a core authentication function was regressed in a major release, particularly one that impacts secure password handling. This creates operational and compliance challenges for organizations adhering to strict password complexity requirements.

@marce1000 thanks for the reply. The workaround version is a downgrade, is that what you are referring to? I am on FMC 7.7.

I didnt look at the actual logs, I can re-create the issue every time with a password that contains any of the characters mentioned in the bug report, plus some that are not listed there, specifically the $ sign. I stumbled on this because this also impacts your radius shared secret, which can also NOT have a $ in it.
