Firstly, I hope I posted this into the correct discussion.
So, I think there may be a bug regarding DDNS update to no-ip.com when using a Cisco ISR1100 model C1111-4P and 8P models using IOS-XE 16.09.x. I have tried it using .01 to .04 (the latest and recommended) IOS and still has the problem persists. I have the exact same configuration in other Cisco routers and it works perfectly, but when configuring an ISR1100 C1111-4P or -8P it fails every time.
In Short
Need a peer review, ie someone with a Cisco ISR1100 to debug a no-ip.com update to confirm if what I am seeing is a bug or if its just me. Note when configuring, you need to do CTRL+V before you type the ? else it wont work. Full instructions on the no-ip.com page.
Issue Details
While the DDNS update claims a success in the debug and logs, it doesnt update no-ip.com. When using debug as shown below (x.x.x.x indicates IP Address, other information changed for privacy/security) you can see it receives an HTML 404 response from what appears to be a google rendered page. When asking no-ip.com for assistance, they could not see the manually created DDNS update attempts hitting their end, thus indicating the DDNS update may not be passing the correct URL, hence the 404 error. You can copy/paste the debug HTTPDNSUPD: full URL into a browser which works, proving its correct...
